Accepted Fare$

The accepted fares in February are ridiculous! Most fares to and from Memphis are around $100!

it sucks for making status. My deviation fares were all $60-80/ea the last two months. That’s what I paid, not the baseline/established fares.

Are you referring to baseline fares I think? My pairings don’t have accepted fares published on them yet. We get the higher value. Never deviate until established fare is published to the pairing. Read 8.C.2.b. for deviation timing and 8.A.4.b for established fare timing requirements.

Read your contract. We don't always get the higher value. You only get the higher value if you deviate before the bid month of the deadhead (before January 30 for February deadheads), otherwise, you only get the established fare. So your pairings show accepted fares? Hmmm, how is that when pairings only have baseline and established fares published?

Didn't you post on another thread that one shouldn't take contract advice on APC? Yet here you are giving false information. I thought you were going to the Islands for at least a week. Based on your posting history, they must have kicked you out or your family got tired of you. Can't blame them.

I referred to the section of the CBA for all the information for the different scenarios. Vacation is great. I can do more than one thing at a time. Multitasking comes to mind.

I don't know which is sadder, you getting the contract WRONG and then justifying it by saying you referenced the appropriate section, or justifying contacting friends at Delta about their TA and posting on APC while on vacation is multitasking. Either way, you're just sad.

Accepted Fares have been essentially stolen from us over the last 15 years. I brought it up in every CBA Survey. I don't think they have been fixed, and it is a huge ****ing deal. Unfortunately, during the 2015 CBA Road Shows the NC Chair would just NOT listen to how the new language really did NOTHING to address the Corp.'s unethical grab of DH Fares. He actually had the same exact blank stare he did when others tried to explain to him the huge gaping hole in the "lie-flat in lieu of FC seating" language.

The accepted fares and the lay flat seat / class of service debacle is a lesson for everyone who will be voting on the next TA.

Should there be a group of pilots *****ing and complaining about language in the next TA and how the company can exploit said language, as many of us did in late 2015, PLEASE LISTEN TO THEM AND TRY UNDERSTANDING THEIR THINKING.

Abuse of Accepted Fares continues.

A guy I was flying with pointed this out: Global Travel, and PilOTS system on PFC, are charging at least $100 over American Airlines website for same one-way fully-refundable ticket. This has been going on for months now.

This means the Co. is now eating into our Deviation Bank, by selling us deviation tickets at a higher cost than the airline itself. This is a major shift from the corporate airline discount we have had for decades (I have only checked American Airlines tickets).

I would like to see our union put out a clear communication on whether the accepted fares are audited/cross-checked vs. the airline's fares. If not, why not? Is the Co. allowed to routinely sell us tickets for profit via Global Travel/PFC (at a higher cost than the airline itself)? I was unaware of that. I am now adding purchasing tickets outside of PFC to the already ridiculous Travel Report workload.

Just making sure you know before you make a mistake. Tickets purchased through GT are refundable. You can ask for non-refundable.
