Recall Council 007 for Block Reps 1, 4, 8

I won't make the August 14 Council 007 Meeting to Recall Block Reps 1, 4, 8. If you're going and could help me proxy my vote, I would appreciate it. Please PM.

Have any of the 13 Reps announced Resignation? Anyone know how many other Recalls from the 13? (I am not on JF, maybe that info is there). I know Council 22 has Recalls, how many Block Reps?

No motion to recall the MEC?

If the NC does not honor their word by failing to resign from their positions, who can Recall those 3?

Transparency going forward.

A Monday meeting will “help” attendance.

No announced resignations as far as I know. Not sure how many recall motions are on agendas.

Not sure what you are asking in terms of a motion to recall the MEC? The block reps are the MEC. If you mean the 3 officers, they don’t vote & would be recalled by the MEC (by vote of the block reps).

As far as the NC, they are hired/fired (recalled if you prefer) by the MEC. I have no doubt they will resign. One hits mandatory retirement in about a month anyway. The other 2 will have to meet with NMB as part of the “debrief” from the TA failure. They’ll depart shortly after would be my guess.

Hope that answers your questions.

Thanks ConnerP. Yeah, many of us can't make a Monday meeting in MEM.

It seems that the 13 are choosing to be dragged out kicking and screaming rather than recognizing how out of touch they have been, and how big they failed.

Still looking to proxy my vote for August 14 meeting, please PM me.

Does JF have threads on Recall meetings? It's the only reason I would go back on fb.

Elaborate, please? Council 7 and 22 have 3 reps each, how have 8 quit? Council 22 had 2 recalled, and I heard, bc I am not in council 7, 2 were recalled today.

Rep from block 8 resigned this am.
Rep from block 1 was not recalled
Rep from block 4 was recalled.

these 3 reps make up LEC 7

The Walrus 08-14-2023 05:55 PM

Just to be accurate, no one has been recalled yet.
