MEC voting

When the MEC members vote on the Chairman position it's a secret vote from my understanding.

Is there a way to see how your rep voted after the fact? My rep apparently doesn't support my preference for MEC chairman, so therefore I will not cast my vote for him next go around BUT I'd like to see how he votes.

is that possible?

Hi, PT.
It's a secret ballot, sometimes multiple votes until a new Chair is determined. There is an interview process with a Q&A to the candidate. You can ask your Rep but they don't have to tell you. Just out of curosity, what block are you in?
Keep the faith,
fbh

This pilot group is obviously happy with Tesla dreams, panda suits, ChatGPT-written campaign videos disguised as rallying cries, cutting off communication with the company, and no contract anywhere in sight.

Why change anything?

Care to elaborate? I'm not certain I understand how your reply relates to my question.

Basically, it doesn't matter what we want. The reps will vote whatever way their base wants to stay in office.

Think about what you just said. If the majority of people want a certain chairman, the rep should vote accordingly or lose the support of their base.

What's the problem?

The problem is, we don't get to know how our reps voted. If we don't know how they voted, how can they be held accountable for their vote?

They are supposed to represent us, and we should be able to know how they vote.

I don't know where that policy comes from but you can try to change it. Need to start with a resolution at your next council meeting.
