8 year pilot here. If this company is going to go belly up or outsource the airline away it will in no way be a result of the pilots or their labor costs. I refuse to accept a reality where us accepting any TA that is not commensurate with our level of professionalism and expertise would have been the “correct” thing to do. I regret nothing for voting down a TA that failed to meet our requirements.

With the patriarch gone the new guys will put their pet rock on the desk and start parting off all the good parts till they get down to the giblets when they just shut it down and take their cut and go away.
FX will not be the same company in 10 years and this crew force will regret not taking TA-1.
RIP Mr. Smith and thanks for the great ride you gave me and my family.

Mr. Smith was a true visionary and changed the world in ways that his contemporaries could never have imagined. I have my opinions about the company as it exists today, but I have nothing but respect for Fred and his incredible contributions to the world. Truly a great loss.
