Default HSBY Period?

Stuck in the field because of the Memphis weather. Supposed to operate in this morning. Played the game. Didn't have a release in the system. Called ramp, and got no answer. Called Crew Scheds and they said the flight was canceled, stay at the hotel and they would revise the trip and call me back. 5 hours later called again and they revised the trip to operate back tomorrow. The question is, shouldn't there be an HSBY period added to the trip for the time i was ready to go in and go to work (generating a disruption)? I would have expected the pairing to show the standby until I was released into rest. Instead, they replaced the original scheduled date and times with tomorrow's scheduled date and time as though it were one long layover. I can't be the only one this has happened to. Thoughts? Thanks.

Yes...I just did this last Thursday. First, discuss it with the in-the-field scheduler. When/if they balk, the DO can put it on your pairing.

Insite and DART. Get something on file now, and stand in line so to speak. Fires won't be out out for a few days.

If you're already on a trip, call crew control, not scheduling..

Yes, that's who you should call. Option 3 on the main scheduling number. They added stay periods on my flight right away.

I was just able to get through to them today. They are slammed, but still grinding. Much faster than the unanswered insite filled out a few days ago.

Default Did anyone get a hotel stby added?

Late following up with this. Did anyone get a hotel standby added for this situation? I was told by crew scheduling that for weather related events, it’s not a hotel standby. My situation was same as original post. Thanks for any info on this.

yes i did i called the GOC scheduler just before hotel showtime because I knew there wasn't a plane for us. She added a 1 minute hotel stay for that night and a 11:30 hour stay for the next day, then we deadheaded home.
