A guy I know recently did the 2nd interview. It was about a week or so from his initial testing, but he said he had a few option of interview dates.

Another guy I know, without heavy time, was told that it would be about 3 months for him to get a class date as they have built up a bit of folks they have hired (pool?) and haven't had any classes for a while so...sounds like it might be a while if one got lucky enough to get hired right now. Supposedly if one has MD-11 or KC-10/DC-10 time it would be quicker...I wish I could find out myself!

There aren't two classes in June from what I'm told. This isn't correct. Just one.

I guess the Basic Indoc Day 1 in a classroom on the second floor of AOTC, scheduled for 6 and 20 June, is a figment of my imagination. I'm glad we have RJ Captains around to keep us Purple folks straightened out.

Just an aside (not that I am insinuating that the above speculations are correct), but why do you suppose the recent classes of new hire back seaters have been removed from the 727 training letter?

I'm not sure which classes, specifically, you're referring to. But the April class of 20 was broken down into:
10 MEM 727 SO
6 MEM 727 FO
2 ANC MD11 FO
2 HKG A300 FO

Yes, but there is another class that had everybody training in the back seat. That class is not on the 27 training letter anymore. It is blank until 7/18. I am pretty sure there are folks in training right now.

Basic indoc starting June 6 is for Pro instructors - Also why it's a short BI class.

How are classes sorted once you get a date ... last 4 of SSAN? If so, how does that work? High or low?
