These folks were not "removed" from the Training Letter. The Training Letter is updated every so often and does not reflect historical start dates. As of this morning (6/8/11) the first 727 class start date showing on the Letter is 18 July, so all of the class start dates and students prior to this have been cleared off the Letter. I don't know of any place in VIPS where the old class start dates and students are archived.

As for no training til July, as the 727 is a pretty low priority nowadays, (almost as many reserve lines as regular lines,) they aren't in a rush to train new front seaters. As for second officers, none of the upcoming classes is going to the backseat, so no SO training unless a guy turning 65 wants to stay. Doesn't seem like a big mystery to me.

"I understand how the training letter works." Obviously not. The last class of new hires, from April, is still in training. Their class has just been cleared from the training letter. Guys whose classes have already started drop off the training letters all the time, on all the various airframes.

Subtlety is obviously lost on the internet. I was trying to suggest to those looking for info on the new hire classes that perhaps those who are hired here in the next couple of months would likely be training in a different seat than the 727 back seat.
You evidently agree, you just had a hard time saying it without the snipe.
Thanks for the help.
