Yeah, I see your point. However, I'm more concerned about how pilots view our own profession, since it is us pilots who will be negotiating our collective future, not Mass Transit drivers.

Mass Transit Drivers could probably negotiate better work rules and retirement than any pilot MEC ever has.

When your boss has "unlimited funds" like Mass Transit Drivers bosses - AKA the Gov't - it's easy to get a good retirement.

That's a good point.

Too bad the line of the company making millions/billion dollars profits doesn't work out quite so well.

Wait...what company are you talking about? Because last I knew, guys at FedEx do rather ok in retirement.
