There are new hire C-130 and P-3 guys in the last two or three years who are counter-examples to your "jet box" theory.

Either way, PilotCrednetials takes inputs of your individual aircraft types and automatically breaks it down into jet, turboprop, etc. There's no way to "lie about it on the app to get called for an interview" and then say something different about it when you actually get to Memphis.

You guys speak of it as if there were literally a yes/no question on the app which asks, "Do you have 1000 hours of jet PIC?" on which you had to make a white-knuckle decision on which box to click.

I guess your right but I never said there was a single jet box, I have always said the time is entered on the PC site. Yes, people lie on PC site and it comes out in interviews. I just said he had no jet time so he could not enter time in a jet category, i.e. no jet time. I guess you know better how this works than me and one of the people who have access to the Pilot Credentials site sitting beside me now.
Merry Christmas

Latest company memo:

“As a result of our strong business, we plan to hire another 420 pilots next year -- 200 more than the projected retirements for 2018.”

Good luck to all hopeful candidates!

Update your App frequently, attend the next Expo or Job Fair and track down an Endorsement if possible.

Happy Holidays!

2018 is certainly going to be an interesting year for pilot hiring. With many big airlines increasing their needs, 420 jobs at FDX is simply amazing. That means for three years, FDX will have hired 30% of its pilot workforce. Crazy.

Quick question for recent interviewees that were prior USAF. What all documents did they ask you to bring?

That's for your Indian visa...

I haven't heard of anybody getting negative feedback during the interview on logbooks. Don't stress about that and concentrate on prepping. They will work with you and be reasonable on all the paperwork stuff. Good luck!!

Thanks, I worry about that because I don't have my complete AF flying history report. The people who stole my safe were nice enough to take it too. Only have my one page flying history report, Form 8s and OPRs, which I made electronic copies of but dont have my line by line stuff any longer so hope that isn't a deal breaker. I do have my complete civilian logs though.

I would contact HR and find out what they would want from you given your circumstances, especially if you don't have enough qualifying hours in you civilian log books. Any advice you get from this forum is worth what you paid for it.

Should not be a deal breaker. I don't think they look through the "line by line" printouts anyway. The one page summary should be all you need. Most military guys also put together a spreadsheet that shows the methodology they used to arrive at the hours on their profile. For example, most guys use all of their IP and EP time (as PIC)but only a percentage of Primary and Secondary...to account for those times that they were not the "A Code".

The key is to be conservative and be able to explain to the interviewer how you came up with your numbers. You are not the first military guy they have interviewed...they know exactly how the AF logs time and exactly what they are looking for. Just like in everything, be open and honest. I doubt the line by line printout will even come into play but, if they did ask for it, just tell them what happened.
