Yes. Make it where if you work 60-65 you get another 5 years added to multiplier. So you'd get 60% of FAE.

If you want people to retire at 60, you shouldn't pay them extra to stay until 65.

From what I was told, up to this point it's been guys with 757 type and time in type or people who interviewed last round but the music stopped before they got to dance. Real "off the street" hiring is just beginning this month and next. Maybe someone else has some better intel?

I was told that interview calls should pick up in June since May is the end of the fiscal year for FE (not sure about this).

Currently fly the 757 and have been starring at my phone non stop waiting for it to ring for the last month. I'd go wherever they want me to go. Good luck to all.

On the app there is now options for most GA single engine piston aircraft ie: 152, 172 etc.. Do they really want someone to list all of these planes separate? I won't be home for a month and don't have my log books with that info in it.

IMO, you could complete the application with the GA totals you have on hand, and submit the application. Once you get home, update your app with the total time broken down per type.

Current rating

What is the definition of current rating on the App? I am assuming it is a type that you have had a PC on in the past 12 months and any GA aircraft that a PC isn't required.

Thanks is advance.

This is the Biggest whiskey tango foxtrot! Why do airlines care what type of single engine I flew 15 years ago or even what type of multi piston I instructed in or flew freight in 15 years ago..... WHY cant they be satisfied with the total time in a single or multi piston. I understand pic and sic in a turbo prop or jet but PISTON.... I also dont know how many night or day landings I had in said pistons as well... These APPS are getting ridiculous.

They don't care about the hours. They only care about how readily you'll ingurgitate the shovels of manure they'll be tossing your way for the rest of your career. It's a simple way to filter out troublemakers (critical thinkers) before they get employee numbers.

You're absolutely right. Now, that said, just do what they ask, because if you don't, you do that at your own peril. Once hired and after your probationary year, you'll have the entire rest of your career to question the stupidity of some of the things that management subjects the crew force to. In the meantime, just treat it as a military situation: You know, "ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do and...." you get it!
