FWIW, there have been a steady stream of dark blue suited clones in the training center this week.

Then a mediocre TA comes out causing a mass exodus to the door from the fence sitting 62 year old guys. But we aren't interviewing more than a trickle. Smart.
Would love to meet one of these "fence sitters" you speak of. There is no such animal.

Rumor from the training building is we are hiring 22 in June and 30 in July.

You know, I agree with you. Very few leave early, and usually they planned and knew they were bailing at age 60 several years out. Still, the bid shows us short handed. I like to hear there is a steady stream of blue suits. Maybe things are really cranking up...

the first big class in May all went 767 HKG. I think the next one after that was mostly or all 757 MEM.
VERY interesting story about the first couple days of indoc from the HKG new hire class. None were told about the requirement for spouse/kids to move to HKG to get housing $ prior to showing up for class. No option to even move in stages with dependant(s) arriving a few months later to allow for "life" to get sorted out before they move to the other side of the planet. You want $ for housing, move everyone to arrive when you activate.
Once divulged, this info generated a 2 hour discussion with one of the New hires (apparently a lawyer of some sort) kind of waving the BS flag  (gutsy to say the least). Company reps in attendance (to include 757 fleet Capt at some point) begin to exhibit some frustration that the crayons and coloring books are not coming out.
From what I understand, a couple of weeks ago this class seemed to feel this matter was still pending and they were hoping for a possible policy change. Not sure how that could be since we have several unemployed former Fedex pilots due to the same issue. Giving new hires some relief on this could be the start of a legal nightmare for the lawyers running the company. Probably better to send a more detailed welcome letter to future classes than do the right thing.

Any words on what aircraft assignments they were offered?
