Ranting Redirecting Hypocrite?
Well Mr.chainsaw, you "Guessed" wrong. Rarely if ever listen to those folks. Read the Washington Post, US News & World report daily, supplemented by WSJ, Fortune, Bloomberg, & The Economist primarily, you should try it.
Apologize for the churn on this forum, but I had to laugh when the original post referenced reporting "like fox News", because of their proven and documented inaccuracies, and biases. The thread was on the TA, and in principle we should all want the same from our union leadership, the unvarnished truth of the TA contents and ramifications, and the delta from our current contract. Also a "realistic" appraisal, understanding and awareness of what is, and isn't achievable in further negotiations.
You're unfounded characterization of "low info voter" couldn't be further from the truth. I do quite a bit of daily in depth reading, and can clearly recognize the inaccuracies of that network, with detailed knowledge garnered from sources listed above.
If you were truly informed and had an unbiased multi-referenced understanding of the detail, depth and nuance of today's issues you might recognize the disparities as well. But if that's too much, Google "fox news inaccuracies" and read for yourself. You'll find that studies from Stanford, University of Maryland, Farleigh Dickinson, Pew Research Center, Kaiser Family Foundation, and more have come to the same conclusion, their viewers are more likely to be misinformed on specific issues when compared to viewers of comparable media, and the biased reporting.
Again- back on topic, we want an unbiased dessemination of the TA contents and changes. We can all agree on that.

My point was that CNN, CNBC etc. are just as biased and spun as FOX news if not more. Why don't you rave on about them as well based on your intellectual in-depth probing? 98% of the "unbiased" Kaiser Foundation's (that you quoted you use for research) political contributions went to the democratic party last year. "At the University of Maryland there are 25 political student groups on campus of which 20 are liberal and five are conservative." - The Washington Post. The University of Maryland, another northeastern bastion of objective political discourse!
So basically you read other piles of liberal, steaming hot garbage to support your proposed claims of objectivity. You should probably be researching the definition of circular logic in the near future. OBTW, thanks for telling me to get back on topic after typing the Gettysburg Address up there. Pot calling Kettle--come in???
P.S. You misspelled dissemination as you were dropping your Mensa card too!

You both want the MEC to present the facts and let the membership decide.
How ironic that you'd engage in this unproductive, distracting sideshow about liberal vs. conservative ideologies and cable news channels when you actually agreed with his point.
Can we talk about the "Fruitful Week" now?

We all wait with bated breath on how well (or unwell) the TA looks. I am caustiously optimistic it is a solid contract.
A point to remember is the back drop of the global economy and the industry during negotiations. The last 3-5 years, the industry and economy have been favorable from the pilots side to negotiate and good contract.
It could be a bit early to predict, but with currency devaluations in China and surrounding countries, China's economy and stock market falling off a cliff and creating a ripple affect in Europe and possibly the U.S., the proverbial window for negotiating a rock star contract could be closing. Only time will tell.

How soon will you, fedex pilots, find out if you get to vote on this 'potential' TA?

We have the company by the short hairs, they HAVE to get something done before peak, but times change. Three years ago the company was in the driver's seat - now we are. Let's hope that the NC got something worthwhile to bring to us.

I am ignorant on the process from this point on...
If the TA is presented to us after the vote on Wednesday, when will voting open/close?
And if, 50.1% of us were to decide to reject the TA, what happens at that time with further negotiations and the NMB, specifically, what happens before peak (anything)?
Also, if the TA were rejected, do we keep everything in it, and only improve on it during further negotiations? Or, do all negotiated sections become "open" once again (with the possibility of losing some of the gains we already have on hypothetical TA#1)?
