Just reviewed the chart for actual cost in 2017 buy up plan for spouse and family. It was posted yesterday in the Q&A.
Current plan $286.57 per month
New plan $407.31 per month
If my math for Marines is correct that's a little more than a 41% increase in my cost. Al least I did find the big raise.....unfortunately it's out of pocket not in.

But remember inflation is really only 2% per year or so some say.

exactly, the inflation number doesn't include energy
why just yesterday I paid 2.37$ for a gallon and some idiot was totally unaware of all the shenanigans govt goes through to hide the cost...shoot, back in 2011 I was paying 3.65
well, never mind....but electrical costs are going up. what, electricity is going up because coal plants are being retired. how can that be, my state is expanding it's renewable energy portfolio, how on earth can that be more expensive than Gas and Coal
didn't we learn anything from Spains Green Energy initiatives, that didn't work?
are you sure, green energy was a job loser economy killer....well, it's just that no ones done it right. if we invest enough tax revenue, then it will work. and if it didn't work, we need to invest more. those greedy fatcats earning over 100k just aren't paying their fair share
