Do you want to see a NO vote?

They've answered this question three times so far that I'm aware of. Once in the online Q and A's:
Q: What is the anticipated course of action if this TA gets voted down by the members? Would negotiations resume immediately, or would there be a cooling off period?
A: Negotiations would be subject to the NMB's schedule and decision concerning future sessions. It is unlikely that there would be an immediate resumption of bargaining.
And once in the 2nd webcast at about minute 20. Essentially the same answer. Bottomline, the NMB has control of the process. They do not anticipate any new bargaining taking place before the end of the year.
And once in the 3rd webcast around minute 51.

Then again, maybe the Company would be more motivated to talk if they felt that a bunch of angry pilots might put peak in jeopardy? Do you think the mediator would deny the Company if they wanted to reengage right away? Maybe they're just testing our resolve. Maybe after a solid "No" vote the Company would finally realize that we are unified and ready to do whatever it takes to get the contract we deserve.
Either way, I don't think waiting will hurt us in the long run.

Yes, we won't be in negotiations the day after a "No" vote but we need time to regroup anyway. We will need to put togather a new NC and poll the membership on what we want fixed in the TA. I don't like a lot of things in the TA; the biggest issue for me is improving our retirement and finding out what my options are. That in it of itself will require a lot of educating and time. So peak will probably come and go, but I'm Ok with that because I will not settle for a concessionary contract.

I really think we need to stop thinking that Peak is a bargaining chip for us. The idea that "If you don't give us a good contract we're going to screw up Peak" is an idle threat because of the legal constraints we work under and the legal options the company has to supplement how they move freight. It's never a good thing to base your negotiating strategy on a trump card you don't really hold.

Actually I think this TA makes us some of the best compensated pilots in the industry when you throw in current value A Plan, Compensation, 9% B Fund, min pay per duty period, and health care. My complaints with this TA or in the work rule areas of scheduling, but we should have fixed those when we gave up Cologne.

I think if this is voted down we are going to see the 49% that voted yes say screw the rest of you. They'll be flying draft and selling back vacation like madmen to make up for what they percieve was taken from them. This pilot group will be fractioned beyond what we have ever been. The company will love it as we flop around trying to get our collective **** together.
