Like the Block 6 rep said; everything was in our negotiating favor and pointing in the right direction and we just stopped.
Reminds me of our big battles against the Taliban in the early days. Just when we had them on the ropes the Northern Alliance would call a "truce" to negotiate the handover of key Taliban leaders. During the negotiations they somehow always got away.
I really wanted this to be done with and move on, and prior to this TA I knew it would be soon, now... not so much. I feel like the union and the company let me down.

NO.

I still have to read the paper copy but am leaning towards NO. One friend put it to me this way what harm at saying no? vrs knowing the company is going to exploit all the loop holes in this TA and stick it to us for probably 10 years. No we are not immediately going on strike etc., probably never be released to a job action because of the mail anyway. I do believe the head of the NC will need to be replaced after listening to him at the roadshow. He is adamant that we have a industry leading retirement and says it like we need no improvements. "man it must of been really good to be the same retirement from the first contract" The fact is he is comparing ours against airlines that went bankrupt. He even stated they did not look at all options like raising the multiplier etc.

We have the investors meeting coming. We have peak. We also have the EU scrutinizing the TNT deal in Europe. Could you imagine what would happen if we scheduled informational picketing outside the EU headquarters.

Our union threw in the towel too early.

What do we lose by saying no? An insulting pay raise? The chance to pay more for healthcare? The loss of FC seats?

Can you live under our current contract for another year? If so, then say NO and try again.

You want leverage? Vote no.

WE HAVE LEVERAGE !!

UPS Pilots Union Calls for Strike Vote

"the whiff of a strike leading into the holiday season could prompt nervous shippers to hedge their bets and look at other options. Rivals such as FedEx Corp., regional delivery companies and other delivery firms are sure to capitalize on those concerns and use the strike threat as leverage to gain new customers."

If you talk to the NC or the MEC, they will tell you that FedEx was stalling in the days just prior to the day they came to the table and made this crappy deal. What event triggered that?

Was it the threat of a strike vote during peak, just like the UPS pilots have done?

Was is the thought of informational picketing at the upcoming FedEx investors meeting?

Or was it the recently announced increased scrutiny by the EU regulators on our TNT deal, analyzing FedEx's cost structure and labor relations?

Send this TA back and let's get us a deal to be proud of and one that we deserve!

Default So many NO's, but actions speak louder

So far all the NO's have been very vocal. I wonder how many of these disgruntled "NO" people have flown extra, sold their vacation, and been generally flying their respective rear ends off in the last 18 months? I don't like the details in the TA, and I do think we deserve better --- BUT we are negotiating against the company and NMB, neither one really gives a rats Ars about us and improvements to our quality of life. The economy is about to crash, the dollar is worthless fiat currency backed by the FED, and we are in for a economic shiza storm when the house of cards (our economy and dollar) come crashing down.

Wake up people. Between the economy, the company, the NMB, and all the clowns we have on property (some probably smacking on this board) flying their rear ends off while wearing "contract now" lanyards do you really think we have a snow balls chance in hell of doing better than this?

Plenty of "vocal" yes voters on here also!

I wonder how many of the "yes" voters are doing the same!

I didn't know the NMB had a vote in this.
