Industry Leading Per Diem - Not So Much

Southwest AIP details are out (unverified).

Per Diem
2016
2017
2018
2019
Domestic
$2.25
$2.30
$2.30
$2.35

FedEx Domestic : TA $2.25 at DOS and then $2.30 at DOS+2 years.

Even in 2016, behind in 2017, even in 2018, behind in 2019 and forward.

Don't worry I'm sure they will not get an increase while we stagnate at $2.30 of another 4 years.

Their hourly rates are well below our narrowbody rates.

Yes but the way they are paid is not the same as us. Not an apples to apples comparison.

Actually. It is. They converted their TFP to hourly rates in order to compare with other airlines. See charts published in Jetflyers...

Per diem better than ours. Maybe. But the rest of their T/A is way below ours.
