This probably belongs in the TA section.

Very well done document. That should be put on everyone's iPad and airdropped to anyone who needs it.

Those wanting to vote yes are the equivalent to the 6% (imediate pay raise for me! I'm to senior for the QOL/FDA issues!)
Those wanting to vote no are the equivalent of the 2% (we all deserve retirement "catch up" & other improvements) :D

This seems to be reasonably well done. Somebody seems to have spent a lot of time and effort putting this together ...

Does anyone know who prepared this document?

This is an interesting analysis. I appreciate the person who put this all together.

And I still don't understand the new 8 in 24, 7+35 rules. I can just tell it is not going to be a good deal at all. I understand the shorter layovers, but the specifics of it is confusing. And unless it is made very clear, crew scheduling isn't going to understand it either, and make it very easy for them to abuse us. What 8 in 24?

iarapilot 09-20-2015 08:27 AM

Yes, I should have put it in the TA section. It was late! Mods, could you move it please??

I dont know who put it together. It looks like they spent some time on it.

A couple missed points in the document:
The company doesn't have to have the ALPA training committee chair agree to anything on allowing Non-Pilots to do CQ.

"11.P.5 - The company's ability to assign an Instructor to conduct non-validation/evaluation CQ sim events resulting from a revision to CQ curriculum shall be subject to process described in 11.A.3.a&b. "

If you read 11.A.3.a&b. - B says the final decision maker if the parties can't agree is the VP of Training (aka the company).
CMV's will become TTP events and you can't "fail" but you may not complete the event. Pro's will be doing these.

I know what the highlights said (the training chair decides) but it's not what the contract says. The At Will Employee (VP Training) will always side with his employer....

Substitution
25.H.6 a - You can't reject a substitution assignment that is given within 4hrs of showtime....

so that great trip you thought you bid for can be substituted and you have to do whatever they give you - "so sorry, show is in 3hr 58min... you HAVE to take it.."
