Correct. Limitation of their system. But, you can post here you did. I expect very, very few "I already voted and changed" poll votes as you probably already posted your original vote in the poll and have no way to change it.

This poll won't even come close to the actual vote. The majority of posters here have been against the TA. I doubt many Yes guys will post their vote. My guess is since the Union has presented the TA as a good deal, the TA will pass.

I've talked with a lot of people and have talked with others who have sampled large numbers. My experience is about 80% definitely against the TA if not even more. But, a fair number of those against the TA will be voting for it for two major reasons I've found (of course there are pilots who think it's decent and are voting simply because if that):
1) I don't like the TA, but I know someone in the union and they say we've gotten all we can get.
2) I don't like the TA, and I think if we vote it down we go two years or more to get essentially the same thing or slightly worse so why give up the good points for those years.
We have to understand that the vast majority of people have made up their minds. Maybe 10% at most are fence sitters and can still be swayed by hearing the concessions.
But, the true way to "preach" the message to send this TA to the grave it deserves is to overcome the perceptions of 1) and 2) above.
The time for griping about the TA is coming to an end. Those of us who are convinced we can do better must now present the positive message of how we will move forward and how the path forward isn't one to fear.

O
[QUOTE=Raptor;1981247]I agree this poll may not be representative, but I think the TA has a lot better chance of being voted down than we might think given past history.

Well said, I've just been here 20yrs and have seen how many people were okay with a few changes. So I don't have any expectations that guys will vote no.
I flew with a Captain who is gone now when I was a DC10 SO. When the first ALPA was trying to get a contract, he told me he couldn't wait to cross any picket line. He told me he called scheduling and asked for the first trip that could be offered if the pilots went on strike. This was 1997 and other pilots flying DC10s or similar airplanes at other major airlines were making over $200/hr and FedEx pilots were happy making $150/hr. We didn't get pay raises and improvements in our lives because we sat back. We Unionized and asked for more. If no one thinks this contract isn't a pivotal point for FedEx pilots, then I have to ask, when do they think they will ever get whats right?
And my last point, other than guys that will retire under this agreement, is there no one who can't live another length of time until a better contract is agreed too? Really, the most junior guy is making $121K on his second year? That's way above what most majors FO pay. Money isn't the issue as to pay rates, its retirement and QOL.
But again, my guess is it will pass.

Sorry Rock, but only the company is paying to buy votes. Unless you're 54 at DOS, and/or willing to die trying for the SLB, you will not be paid to vote in favor of the TA.
