So for you, Rock, a Union is not a collective group of people trying to make things better for everyone, its just a way for your life to be better. Why don't you just say it, its all about you and what you can get, and screw everyone else? That's not too hard to say is it?
There. Now we've both offered a pointless tantrum based entirely on how we plan to vote. That sure moved the ball down the field.

[QUOTE=Viper446;1982343]Go talk to people who have just started training and are making $2k a month. Or to the guys looking to get hired in the next couple years that will be forced to live with that same income because you want to pad your paycheck even more. Go talk to our most junior pilots who have actually worked at companies with lousy contracts and can't believe what they are hearing from senior FedEx pilots. I'm not screwing over anybody. I'm just not swayed by the arguments of greedy loud mouths who have zero strategic vision and are starting to realize they haven't done enough of their own planning for their own retirement. I get it, you've spent 20 years working in a high paying industry and are only just now realizing that retirement planning is YOUR responsibility. That would freak me out too. But I'm pretty sure I can't save you. And I know I don't trust your planning skills to convince me we can eventually get a contract even better than the one we're being offered. Sell that bridge to someone else.

Time out please.
It's worrying me reading the escalations.
I am a no vote. I understand the yes vote. I don't agree completely with any other pilot yes or no because we all base our decisions on factors that are individually determined.
I will have a beer with anyone (except fegelein) after it's all over and I want to keep it that way.

So you think two years is an irrational fear? How about one year? Give us your over/under in months. I think 18 months would be a pretty good guess. Just as likely to be longer than shorter.

It is great that YOU have this all figured out and have the opportunity to "strategic plan" your life. Many, due to unforeseen circumstances aren't as privileged as you!
Also, if it was just GREED motivating the NO voters than they would just take the money. It is the QOL issues that motivate the majority of the NO voters. I will retire under whatever we end up with. I could just take the money and run but I want my last six years here to be better than the last nineteen.
This TA still has too much permissive language and the fix to scheduling abuses is to pay a little extra instead of to stop the abuse! Makes me feel like the battered wife - I will put up with the abuse because he buys me flowers after he beat the crap out of me!

If a vote is a personal decision then why worry about screwing over the new hires and those not hired yet! I bet the company won't be short of applicants if this TA is voted down!!!
