New Leadership

Now that the TA is passed. Will the union leaders (DON, ANITA, etc) who vehemently railed against the contract. Please have the decency to step down.

Go back to the line where you belong. You don't represent most of us.

Please try to maintain some self respect.

This applies to all the "I TOLD you so" posts to follow= Waste of time

I wouldn't have wanted yes MEC voters to have stepped down if the TA had failed.

To encourage union leaders to guess in advance to get on the "right" side of a vote encourages group think. I am on record thanking the union this vote (unlike 2006) for putting out yes and no MEC posts. It might be messy, but I would prefer it be messy beforehand than afterwards.

Although I was a no voter I was on record saying a lot of TA changes were good. I thought there were several biggies I didn't like at all. But, the killer for me was section 28.

We had great participation (I still can't fathom how 120 some pilots didn't vote). It wasn't a big victory, but it only takes 1 vote to pass.

I'm moving on. I will try to make the most of the sections/clauses I like. I absolutely want our contract enforcement and grievance process to get more robust. I would support an assessment to make that happen too.

Why should they step fown? They thought this TA was not the best deal for us. And obviously, while not the majority, many people agreed.

Strongly agree with Raptor on the contract enforcement and grievance being stepped up.

This is perhaps the worst post I have ever read.... The you too sir have no honor.

Besides this I recommend a 3 month moratorium on contract discussion IN THE COCKPIT. No religion or politics either. Fly the jet have fun keep it light and on topic, A-B safe, efficient, effective, legal and light hearted.

Don may not have represented your view of the contract, but he was representing my seniority block and he recognized the losses that this contract had for us.

Maybe your end of the seniority list will have "buyers remorse" down stream. Only time will tell.
