FedEx DSA and MUD
I had 72 hrs of MUD dropped from my MUD bank. I asked payroll and was told that DSA and MUD can not exceed 686. I can not find in the contract where it says when DSA and MUD exceed 686, the overage is dropped from your MUD. I always thought that what ever MUD you had was your to make up during the life of your career. Now it looks like I've lost 72hrs of MUD because the MUD and DSA exceed 686. This is not a DSA situation of the extra hours being put into my 401k and then any extra being paid directly to me, it looks like a straight loss of 72hrs? Any thoughts? I read the contract and I can't see any part where it says MUD is just dropped without compensation.

I think it can't be spelled out in more plain English, but here you go:
Section 14.D.1 - "The disability sick account ceiling shall be 686 CH."
Section 14.E - "..... the number of hours remaining in each pilot's regular sick account shall be added to the existing balance in that pilot's disability sick account subject to the account ceiling. If the addition of these hours would cause the balance of the pilot's disability sick account to exceed the disability sick account ceiling, the value of the excess hours shall be deposited into the pilot's Employer Contribution Unused Sick Leave Account within the Federal Express Corporation Profit Sharing Plan....."
Language did not change in new contract.

It appears some of you are saying that if your MUD and DSA are greater than 686 you will get paid for the excess. I do not believe that is the case. I too had hours removed from Mud account to balance the total to 686.
