No, it stays in for the duration of the current contract plus 2 extra years of "negotiating in good faith".

In the meantime, they will twist the knife to maximize the pain.

Don't blame me, I voted no.

How do bid awards work when the current bid is not trained out yet? I hold a bid award under 15-01 with training scheduled for spring of next year. The bid announced today has vacancies in the seat I am awaiting training for. Does the new bid just replace the current bid or does it start training after the current one is completed?

Just trying to figure out if my training date can be slid backwards based on someone senior to me bidding to the seat I am waiting for.

16-01 awardees trained in seniority order normally after previous awardees so they can't jump in front of you on the training letter unless a swap occurs or whatever finagling Staffing wants to do. YMMV.

I'm trying to let the bad feelings go but Waldorf's truthful reminder stirs up bad feelings for our union that allowed this POS T/A to be forwarded to the members. Lanyard officially removed.

The really sad part is that I bet 90% of the folks are so focused on upgrade that they don't even realize how the company just STUCK it to us in the 6.

The good news is that the "union" has graciously allowed us to keep the wet lease payments of $170 (minus taxes). My prediction, one of the company negotiations already has a first draft for the publisher on "how to beat pilots at the table, even while they hold all the chips"

Happy bidding, YOU PAID FOR IT.

Once upon a time the company philosophy was that we needed to be BETTER than the competition and that customers would pay for our superior service. In recent years it seems like reducing costs and increasing investors returns have become a big (biggest?) priority.

Across the board cost cutting seems to be taking it's toll on our reliability and morale. Previous wet leasing experiments proved they simply weren't as reliable as having Purple Pilots flying Purple Freight.

If reliability isn't the priority it once was, should we be concerned if there are cheaper (and maybe less reliable) ways to get the freight to the customer?

Newest bid including 200 plus pilots and other notes kinda shoots your theories down bud.

Knew someone was going to beat me to it. I doubt we'll ever see such leverage again.

I was a no from the git-go.

No $hit!!

+1

We blinked

Sorry, can't argue the facts

They've been buying back vacations in every seat, in every domicile for months and months

Months and months after peak!

They are going out of their way to make it easier for them to draft

We totally misunderstood and squandered the leverage we had

Deny it if you want, it existed!

Kinda think extra 200 is more about the TNT needs they can't talk about rather than fundamentally changing their lean manning model.

IMHO, it wasn't the union that put the knife there but your fellow pilots. Guys working every day of the month and then passing out no lanyards and shocked it was all the committee could get. GMAFB! The Union leverage is only what we give them. Yes, the opportunity was enormous, but was definitely minimized by a large number of pilots.

Here's your break -- you can withdraw your comment and apologize for insulting people you obviously know very little about, and I won't hold it against you.

The guys passing out Vote NO lanyards didn't work an extra day for YEARS, and then only purchased and passed out lanyards AFTER the Committee gave up.
