I took about 20 minutes to read the 33 page document. All in all, I'd say someone's got some explaining to do on ALPA's behalf. Not drinking the cool aid but many valid questions and points. I would encourage folks to read before judging. Accountability is a word many of our "Leaders" don't understand. IMHO. Cheers

I'm too tired to read it all. So is the just of it, if they win, they get a big payoff from ALPA (us), to go back to us, minus the lawyers fees? And if they lose, we all have to pay the lawyers fees?
Sounds like the only winners here are the lawyers.

So I agree with your last statement. Lawyers making money. Quelle surprise.

If I am not mistaken, they are suing National. Not FedEx ALPA.
And on a related note, hasnt it been almost every month since we passed the contract that there has been AVA in almost every seat and voluntary vac cx for every month since? Pathetic. IMO of course.

Good point, Rock. We had the contract, in our fat little fingers, and we are (theoretically) educated, intelligent people. The majority voted for it. We had access to the fine print. Not sure how anyone can argue against the fact that we had the data, spin or not.
However, so far, I must admit that even though I was not a fan, I haven't noticed any ill effects (my situation only). I've only seen benefits, and a significantly higher paycheck. I'd like to complain, but I can't quite come up with anything yet. I'll keep trying.

What are you saying, the NC and Union leadership didn't speak for the pilot group? Come on, what could have been gained not having a contract and flying through peak with no one flying extra? The company was upfront and honest just like the union was. How could anyone sue the union for misrepresentation? I doubt these guys will win but they do have a point.

So we're going to all the ALPA RJ pilots, and all the second- and third-tier carrier ALPA pilots, and saying, Hey our raise was only 8%, and somebody promised us 11%, so give us money.
Not to mention that we are one of ALPA nationals biggest (if not THE biggest) contributors.
Embarrassing.
