JFK to LGA?

LaGuardia to JFK | JFK to LaGuardia $14
Quick and easy, especially if you don't want to take the train and a bus.

If you have spare time and want to save a few bucks, this takes about 1:15-1:30, and will only run you $5.50. It requires a metro card with money pre-loaded. Q10 or Q10LTD bus from JFK Terminal 5 to Kew Gardens ($2.75). Free transfer using the same metro card to E or F train towards Manhattan (subway) to Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Ave. Q70 or Q70LTD bus to LGA, serves all terminals ($2.75). Like I said before, not the fastest way to do it but if you have extra time this will save you some cash.

Do not under any circumstances take the subway and bus system as mentioned in post #3. Do take the NYC Airporter. You could take the subway and bus, but only if you're packin'. And this from someone who spent the first 24 years of his life within a mile of LaGuardia.

JFK to LGA?
This could not be much further from the truth. The public transit in NYC is a way of life for the vast majority of New Yorkers. It is quite safe.

Ehhh, not worth the savings to me. I've dragged my bags on the L in Chicago and on the BART in the Bay, but transferring between buses and the subway reaches my limit of hassle vs dollars. Not saying it isn't safe (sorry JJ), just not worth the extra PITA.

Thanks for all the information
I took the Airporter. It was quick, easy, and hassle free. The only "minor" adventure was the "kamikaze" like driving of the bus operator. Do all you New Yorkers drive like that? A couple of times I just closed my eyes and waited for that expected accident. Really aggressive driving. Even worse than Paris!
