VTO line with NOQ due to line check

I looked all over and cannot find it in the contract. I was due a line check in April and was never scheduled for one even though I had a full line of flying. I have vacation all of May so no flying which is my grace month. I thought I would get a reserve line in June but it went senior so I got a VTO. Since my calendar shows NOQ due to line check needed will I not get assigned trips on my VTO? All they need to do is give me a line check on my first assigned trip. Or if I get some R days at the beginning assign me a trip and give me a line check.

I am afraid I will not be given any trips on my VTO since my calendar shows NOQ? I called futures but crickets are chirping. Any one have this happen before?

A few years ago I was in a similar situation and training emailed me in my grace month and asked me if I wanted to do a makeup trip to get my line check out of the way. When I called this time before the bid they said they would get me on my first trip in june? Am i screwed?

Thanks

Good luck getting futures to answer the phone.

They might answer your email, at their convenience.

Maybe call your flight manager, or their assistant, whatever they are called these days.

If you go non-current, you just may find yourself getting a long requal. Don't shoot the messenger.

Another VTO question

VTO in June with 5 days of carry-in into June. Vacation at the end of the month.

No smaller trips available that fit the hole between carry-in and vaca. So, I'm expecting reserve. My monthly pay is fine with the carry-in and vacation, but I didn't think they built VTOs factoring in carry-in. I thought, if they can build a full VTO with legal min days off even with the carry-in, they will.

I got 4 notifications yesterday that I've been removed from RA due to carry-in conflict on 4 R-days that fall under the footprint of my carry-in trip. Kind of left me scratching my head.

I can't imagine them building a VTO with intentional conflicts. There are days available that don't conflict. I'm thinking maybe computer glitch where the system built a VTO with no human oversight yet? I guess I'll find out tonight.

Never had a phone answered by futures. However, they do respond to email. So email, email, email! And also contact your fleet manager. If you wait till the weekend, you will not get ahold of anyone.

Alderdriver, when did you pick up the carry-in trip? If the footprint of that trip was still open at a certain point (it might have been last Friday, but I'm not sure), there is a point when you can still pick up carry in trips, but they are still showing the footprint open and put trips on there for VTO's the next week. If that makes any sense. I've had the same thing happen a couple of times. Hadn't been assigned the trips yet so able to pick up the carry in, but footprinted that I'm open during those days, so the VTO trips drop. Gotta be careful with that, if it's not what you want.

Training scheduling finally emailed yesterday and it sounded like they just figured out I needed a line check. Futures had already built me a schedule but did not talk to training so they had me with a few reserve days mid month the a trip. Problem is that I would be NOQ for the July bid which would cause a problem. So they had to pull a trip the first week of jun from someone to get my line check out. Sounds like crisis management to me! All could have been avoided if they gave me my line check during my due month.

Not my situation. I've had the C/I trip all along. I've just never seen trips or R-days that conflict with known activities assigned during the build of secondary lines. If that's what's really happening, it's a first for me. Since I don't do reserve, I was going try to drop anyway, so I'll take the CH in my M/U bank and be good.

Most likely, since all the June OT dried up yesterday, they ran the secondary program and the process is on-going. My gut tells me, a human is going to QC things and put the R-days where they can get some extra work out of me. I guess I'll see tonight.

Okay, that is weird. I've never seen that one happen.

However, with 5 days of carry in conflict, and 7 days of vacation, that would be around 72 hours of pay approximately, based upon how much you're paid for those 5 days. If you checked yes in the right box during your secondary request, it's possible that your VTO is complete and you will get no reserve days at all. Here's hoping.

Glad you got ahold of them and they figured it out, max. For sure, on the crisis management, and even in a crisis, it seems impossible to get ahold of them on a weekend. Lucky you were paying attention.
