I wold like to know why we didn't do this during the last round of negotiations, before we decided to put a TA to the crew force.

I am opposed to any opening of a single section.

I don't see any problem reopening a single section, but maybe I'm missing something. If it's not significantly better, we vote no. No consequence, end of story, it doesn't hold up any other negotiations. Zero reason to accept anything that isn't an improvement, so what harm is it? What we should have done is irrelevant now. Maybe someone can explain why we wouldn't want to do this.

Yep...what busdriver12 said.

No pressure from a mediator or need to wrap up an entire Sec 6 TA with other sections being held hostage. Fallback is current language - an easy walk away option.

Because Block 1 rep convinced a narrow majority of MEC to not allow NC to discuss anything on retirement other than raising the A fund. How'd that work out? 🤔

I saw Pat's video. 5 points, some run seperatly, some together.
Biggest pont missed is # 6 B. O. H. I. C. A.

Thought you guys already have a contract? What's up with this?

busdriver12 07-30-2016 02:41 PM

Seems like both the company and the union want to discuss retirement for a supposedly win/win scenario. Even looking at UPS retirement (the proposed one, I assume). If it's not better for us, we say no.

Just like we said no to the TA?

There can never, ever be a win/win. We had our chance at "winning". 56% chose another path. Case closed.
