FDX Hotel Expense in unused sub?
Had a 6 hour trip (Hub turn into and out of) CNX and put in SUB (not used).
Referencing CBA 25.H.5.b:
...72 hours or less, any assignment shall be sequential or any unassigned periods...eligible to be claimed: hotel.
Can I get reimbursement for the hotel with a one day SUB hole in my schedule? Anybody have good results filing this with their expense report?
Thanks folks.

I know from the initial read it appears you should get to expense a hotel when sitting around a day unassigned in a sub, but that's not the way it works. Just passing along my experience.

Our NC failed again.
Where's my shocked face?
All that money wasted on ALPA lawyers, and we got schooled again!

Thanks for the responses folks. I, too, remember this exact situation touted as a plus when explained years ago during a roadshow. CBA is never any better than what you can enforce. Oh well.

I think maybe in future years during a roadshow we need to insist on both a union rep and a company rep to attend. So when ALPA feeds us a line of BS like this issue (because I was sold just the same as OP) the company rep can interrupt and say "well, that's not exactly true......"

Yes. Because the company rep is going to step up and tell us why the T/A is a bad deal...

***! That's the exact scenario we wanted the language for in the first place, if they assigned you a sub trip you wouldn't need a frig'n hotel! Seriously?
And we have people what want to change our retirement language...? YGTBSM
