Default Loss of RFO lines on 11

So how many lines of International RFO flying did the FO's on the 11 lose?

And did any of those RFO pairings move to the captains flying. Captains as RFO's is a good thing.

I was just looking at the lines as an FO wanting to fly international. Your thought was it is better because it means more Captains?

More captains as RFO = More captains. More captains = more upgrades. More upgrades = more money or better seniority for FOs.

Overall--its good for the crew force. For the FO who wanted the DH to Paris it is a short term setback, but the upgrade should take the sting out.

I was asking if there was a reduction in RFO lines or if they moved some of those lines to the captains. Yes, I was also saying that if it was simply a move from F/O to Captain, then it means more Captains. Just like Albie said.

Reading the SIG notes helps.

Captains, lines 1022-1046 contain RF2 pairings. The Captains have the majority of the relief officer flying during December.

Thanks. Not on the plane anymore, so I don't look at those sig notes. So is the RFO flying the same, just shifted to the captains, or has it increased or decreased.

My take on all the capt RFO flying in both the MD11 and B777 is that we are fat on captains due to all the upcoming retirements Dec31. Company wanted to get ahead of the curve for once and so we are overmanned until the end of the year.

Another example is we have 19 captains on A reserve each day on the 777.
