Rental car in MEM

Whatever .com site you use DO NOT use Dollar Rental. They are always under-staffed. I've noticed on many occasions long lines with no agent at the counter the entire time I'm getting my car from another vendor. FWIW my .02.

I always do a Priceline bid in MEM with pretty good success. Beats the FDX discount you can find on that website with all our corporate deals. But last week for some reason there were ZERO cars available at any price at the whole facility. Don't know if they're starting to shrink because of the fact that who in their right ****ing mind wants to visit Memphis??

I First try expedia. Most times I've booked out for around $16-19 per day.
On the time periods when their prices are up (booked). Try the local Hertz and the FedEx discount code in Memphis is 1639212. You need your ID at pick up. I cannot remember how much the discount was but it was pretty substantial for the two times I could not get a good online rate.

We get Hertz Gold membership through the company (don't ask me how it was on green screen 15 years ago). I can usually book a car for > $25 a night with the company discount. Some hertz locals give you a better discount with the USAA code.
