Not familiar with Flexjet specific but the phenom course at CAE is meant to include owner operators and goes very slowly. The test is more of a quiz of what you learned for the day, if they even give it to you. What aircraft are people getting in your indoc class?

A couple of years ago there was a test at the beginning of ground training covering the initial computer stuff you were supposed to complete. Then another at the end to show you what you learned (or didn't learn). Both are corrected in class. The first didn't matter. I don't remember what you needed to score on the final. Then you will have class with Flex and have a written test over material covered. There is a question bank that you will be able to download that the questions are drawn from. For your type ride you will have an oral just like any other type ride oral. Memory items, systems knowledge etc. There is also a downloadable systems review question bank from the FJ website too.

CAE is a Sh!t hole operation, be on your toe's as they have a very high failure rate with notoriously crappy instructors, Gama and Netjets stopped using them. L3 has a very high wash out rate there as well.
Good luck!

The instructors here in Dallas from bombardier say that most of them will transition to CAE whenever they finally switch. The people I know in the phenom syllabus right now say the training is good and fairly easy.

Flexjet uses its own sim instructors at CAE then after the training they are handed off to CAE instructor who does your recommendation pre check ride to see if you are good to go. Then type ride is with CAE examiner.
This was done to help give the new hires a little more hand holding and some more sim time so they can pass the check ride.
I heard that last fall there was a whole class 6 who were not recommended and needed extra hours in the sim, that is why Flexjet took over the training.

Net jets used FSI due to the association with Berk Hathaway.
I raise the BS flag on “very high” failure rate. People who fail at CAE deserve to be pink slipped. The instructors (CAE and FSI) grade and judge based upon the ATP PTS....simple as that. If you can’t fly within those FAA mandate tolerances then you don’t pass.
