Looking to revive here and get a lil info after an interview invite.

- Whats the training timeline in Dallas?
- Are you typically just dropping the passengers off, or are you staying with them for the ride back if its an RON?
- How much int'l is happening here?
- Are the schedules flexible? Adding and dropping trips?
- Anyone have/had any issues working a military schedule around PBS here or training?
- Will I be the only one posting memes on the message board? Are the crews a buncha Slam Clicks or do they actually hang?
- Can I take my Golf clubs with me?

i can’t answer it all but here’s the old college try:

-Don’t know training timeline
-Staying overnight for a trip the next day with the same pax is very rare.
-Int’l depends on the type your on. Challengers and Embraers will see a bit of the world, but the large metal is all CA/Ca flying. Expect Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico mostly.
-Schedule are not flexible unless you are in the Red Label program. And even then only quasi flexible. It’s not an airline.
-Generally the military hasn’t had issues getting their guys off the Flex schedule when needed. Don’t abuse it.
-Crew hangage is dependent on the crews. Some really great guys and gals and some real oddballs.
-Leave the clubs at home. FJ isn’t a small corporate operation. You’ll probably be fired the first time your golf clubs interfere with carrying all of the owners’ baggage.

Default Flexjet Schedules, Etc?

I hear/read there isn’t really “reserve” per say. Are the bottom feeder trips on PBS longer airport sits or anything weird? Is PBS more about the days you’re on/off? Or are the trips and locations all depicted with ground time and lay over locations, hotels etc?

What kind of efb apps/software are you using? Jepps? Foreflight?

-Days on and off as well as length of trip and length of time off.
-you won’t know what you’re going to do on a day to day basis. It isn’t an airline.
-Jepp FD, Foreflight, iPreflight.

Could someone who CURRENTLY works at Flex describe the duty/rest periods on the road? Is it true that you will have 14 hours duty, followed by 10 hours rest every night of your trip? I can understand if you have say 1pm flight, showing up early in case of someone else's mechanical or a pop-up trip, but if your first flight of the day is scheduled for say 9am, are you really expected to show up at the FBO at 6am after dutying off at 8pm the night before just for the sake of being at the FBO?

I have dug through old posts on Flexjet, and this seems to be what people describe, but I know there have been some QOL improvements recently, hoping to get a more updated view.

No, it's hardly like that. Also, there are many disgruntled jacka--es who constantly spread rumors and misinformation about the fractional world, let alone Flexjet.
It's a great company to work for and they take good care of us. For the most part, it's a pretty good quality of WORK life. The company pays for damn near everything when on trip rotations. Catered crew meals provided on most legs and one meal a day expensed to the company. Even though they pay $42 per diem, it's hardly necessary to use it.
Schedules vary, but keep in mind we're paid a DAILY rate, not by flight hour. In a nutshell, that means they can use you as needed while you're "on the clock". However, that doesn't always mean sitting around FBO for hours. If we're at the hotel and nothing is scheduled the next morning, they usually let us stay at the hotel on standby. Beats sitting around the airport for hours.
Every night is NOT min rest. I'm on the CL-30, which is a pretty busy fleet, but still get many 12+ hour overnights. Keep in mind, business is exploding for other areas of aviation, not just airlines. More owners are signing contracts with fractionals and business is booming, which means more flying.

Looking at getting back into Charter flying - many years as Excel captain for Delta private jets spin-off. Still on great terms with them but I know the pay is better at Flex. With over 2000+hrs PIC will I still start at the bottom of payscale? No, I'm not typed in any Bombardier aircraft.

Flexjet has Bombardier, Embraer, and Gulfstream aircraft.
You'd start at the bottom of the payscale like everyone else.

Oh my 2000 hours of PIC.....

I have well over 14,000 hours of PIC. And if I was to start with another airline why in the world would I not
expect to start out at the bottom of the pay scale pay scale.

Welcome to aviation buddy
