Flexjet recent aircraft

Has anyone recently started at Flexjet? What has been the aircraft breakdown for class? i.e. challenger, legacy 450/praetor 500, phenom?

It’s the luck of the draw. Last two new hire classes:

Dec: 2 phenom, 4 legacy

Jan: 2 phenom, 2 legacy, 7 challenger

These assignments wer assigned based on seniority within the class or prior experience in the aircraft?

Neither, I assume Flex puts you in an aircraft that is highly used in the area of your home base. In my class almost all the west coast based pilots got the legacy, while the east coast guys got the phenom. You have zero choice on what aircraft you’re assigned. Right now you can upgrade in the phenom in under a year. Last award went to a guy that has been on property for ten months.

Rog. Thank you. I read elsewhere in other threads that upgrade to other equipment is 14 years? Is that true?

So Midwest guys got the challenger then?

No. It's not that long. Around 5 or 6 I am told from the CL guys. quite a few are moving into the GS. after 2 or 3 years.

Is that how long it’s taking to get into the IRL program, 2-3 years?
