Winter Boots/Work Shoes
Hey all,
With FX's unique uniform, and my need for new footwear, whats your go-to for winter/allseason. Prefer water proof, slip on, maybe something a little higher in the heel to prevent wet feet. Thanks! |
Johnston Murphy Chelsea-style slip on boots come highly recommended.

Second/Third a slip on chelsea boot. I got a set of Blake McKay "Keane".
Has an old school hiking boot tread on it, works good in the winter on slick surfaces and like the JM is all black/no colored stitching and has a professional look, etc. All black and shines nice. Only "annoying" thing about a chelsea/slip on is when getting up after sitting and the pants cuff hangs up on the pull ring. But that's a minor bytch. |
J&M all the way!
Definitely go with the Johnson & Murphy XC4 Maddox Chelsea Boot. It's the best boot I've ever purchased and has kept my feet dry in multiple down pours. I have wide feet as well so it's nice that one boot covers both normal and wide. I just pulled out the insole (or footbed as they call it) and it's still comfortable. It normally has "4 layers of comfort" but without that "footbed" with only 3 layers of comfort it's still good for all day wear and long tours.
