First-time post.
Question 1 does Flexjet do any part 91 flying?
Question 2 I have seen no remarks or Questions about the Flexjet Gulfstream Fleet. just wondering why.
Thanks for your help!!

What do you want to know about the Gulfstreams? They are part of the International Large Cabin fleet and fly like every other Flexjet aircraft. Only difference is the teams are made up of all Captain's and you cannot go directly into ILC as a new hire. You have to interview and be selected by the Aircraft Commander and each aircraft has 5 CA's assigned to it (selection is not seniority based). The info is out there in the forum, you just have to read through the info to find it.

How does logging SIC time work in the Phenom at FJ? Does OpSpec require 2 pilots? Any different rules for logging SIC on 91K vs 135 vs 91 repo legs?
I'm concerned about getting hired into the right seat of a Phenom (vice the Challenger or Praetor) and spending 7-8 months essentially logging zero marketable flight hours and waiting for the capt upgrade. I'm sure that's not the case, but asking for some insight about exactly what the lay of the land is at Flex.
Thoughts? Thanks!

Hopefully the type of time you're logging won't matter, but it sounds like you're planning on using Flexjet to get to somewhere else - what would they need to provide to you that they don't to keep you to stay long term? The hiring team generally does a good idea of trying to weed out those who won't be here long term, so be careful how you approach the panel interview as it's usually somewhat obvious who is looking to stay and who isn't.

Log your time correctly. I’ve seen an individual get hired at a major airline only to be turned back when they discovered he was logging right seat time as PIC as an FO at Flex.
He landed on his feet because he’s an awesome individual, but don’t try to cheat the system. Especially when hiring requirements are as low as they are across the industry.

Just because the Phenom has a single pilot exemption doesn't mean SICs aren't required crew members. Flexjet operates their Phenom 300 as crewed aircraft, and the type ratings it's pilots recieve all have the 'EMB-505 SECOND IN COMMAND REQUIRED' limitation attached. All flight time is logged, regardless of leg type flown, because the SIC is a required crew member.

The type of time does matter IMO. Turbine vs piston, ME vs single, SIC vs PIC absolutely matters. Flexjet (or any operator) may be a destination for some folks, and many others may choose different options later in life (wholly owned jet, cargo, part 121 legacy, seaplane charter whatever). There’s no shame in acknowledging that fact.
So the motivation for my question is this: if I come to FJ, fly right seat in a phenom that’s only required by insurance company and therefore not loggable flight time until I upgrade to CA, then I’m not really progressing myself professionally. To be clear, FJ seems like a great option, there’s lots to like, especially since you’ve assuaged this one concern. FJ is a place I COULD see myself at long term, but the only consistency in our industry is inconsistency, and if FJ folds or just the right next opportunity comes up (or any other black swan event), I’d like to know that the time and experience gained at FJ can contribute to my professional growth.
Again thanks for answering the question in the first place.

There is only one PIC and he/she is declared at the beginning of the trip. Even on CA/CA trips the senior pilot is PIC unless they want to change it each day with dispatch.
