Hiring Mins 3000?
Heard that flexjet is upping their hiring mins to 3000TT in 2024???? Can any flex guys confirm this??
I heard they were already having a difficult time hiring quality and qualified pilots, seems like this will just make their attrition worse than it already is. Seems like Kenn Ricci isnt making the best decisions for his pilots anymore |
Depends. If they have safety data showing problems which correlate to lower time, it might be better to impair growth than start crashing airplanes.
Or maybe the customers care about pilot stats? |

Yes, it's true. 3000 hours min now. Too many of you guys have been showing up for a year and then bailing. Their data shows that higher time new hires are more likely to stay.

Hopefully there is some acknowledgement within management that 3000 hr pilots command a pay premium over 1500 hr pilots. In this market a 3000 hr pilot could basically work anywhere with a clean record and decent interview.

They have some exit data they are using to try and weed those folks out. Higher more experinced piltos is part of it, with the theoryh that if those pilots wanted to go to the airlines they already would have. I dunno if it'll work but that's their theory. Honesly I'll be happy to fly with more experienced FOs. |
