Did flex management announce new pay scales on yesterday's pilot call?

From what I've heard from friends who are still there, the short answer is no, nothing was announced.

Not officially--they say they're still working on it--but they showed a graph of the current proposal. Bottom line, no change for PICs until the end of year 8. Big jump in year 9, then a slow ramp-up after that with no level-off thru year 20 (IIRC). Kenn explained the concept was driven by their attrition stats--apparently the younger guys tend to punch out to 121 approaching year 8, so the idea is to provide retention incentive.

I’m curious what the long term data shows in 10 years from today. I bet year 8 is more related to 9/11, 2008, age 65…. Attrition will no doubt slow in today’s hiring environment. But could ramp up quickly again in a couple years. I wonder if this is a carrot for guys on year 5, thinking of bailing….
