Flex Training Questions

Hey Guys and Gals,

I am wondering about training at FlexJet. If you are not from Dallas, do they still pay per-diem from day one? Also, is breakfast provided daily (free) at the hotel like it was for the interview? What about lunch? Is lunch provided at the training center, or do you guys brown-bag it?

These may be silly questions, but I really am curious.

Also, typically how long is phase 2 IOE? Do you bid a schedule? I will be taking advantage of the 90 days to move, so what will that be like for me?

Finally, what is the current status on the moving allowance? At the interview they were not sure if it was a check for 4 grand (taxed as income) or Flex covering all expenses up to 4 grand when you submit receipts. I will be moving within the 90 days, but may be staying with family while the wife finds a house for us. That may take longer than 90 days and I don't want to lose the moving allowance.

Thanks everybody.

Art V.

I was told per-diem is paid in training so long as your gateway is not Dallas. I also believe breakfast is covered. No idea on lunch. I got the impression the relocation was covered UP TO 4k.

When do you start?

Art V: Sent your message on to my son, who flies for Flexjet. The reply is below. He seems prety happy in the job. Hope this helps.

Dad,

You can pass along my e-mail to this gentleman as well and forward this response.

Breakfast is included at the hotel 7 days a week. Just show them the room key. Lunch is not provided, however, one day a week a local hotel provides lunch as a way of saying thanks. The cafeteria next door in the Simuflite building is excellent. Wide variety, and low cost. I think the sim company must subsidize.
Perdiem is paid from day one.
Phase II IOE is set up by scheduling and mine was 2 four day rotations.
No info on the moving expenses.
Hope some of this helps.

Another Flexjet question. Is there still a 2 year training contract? At Airinc I was told to call whenever I wanted to interview. I haven't yet, because the literature they gave me mentioned a 2 year training contract, but I haven't seen anything on APC or on the forums.
