South Dakota State U Flight
Is anyone familiar with this program? Any comments or suggestions?
My son is being recruited there, the price is right, it has pro flight, and so on.

It may not be in the 'top tier' of known schools but plenty go to the lesser known & do just fine. I see that qualify for the 'restricted' ATP.
If the price is right I see nothing wrong with it. They may not have all the contacts of the big schools, but that's no real biggie. As always, tell the student to keep some backup plans besides the flying.
Other than that, spread some faith & encourage the Son to go for it. I'd plan an Oct visit to include a pheasant hunt.

I would suggest Iowa Lakes in Estherville, Iowa. In the grand scheme of things, they are not much farther from Brookings. They also get you your certificates/ratings faster than SDSU (if you are a committed student). If you want some more details, PM me.

I was paying for my gas at the FBO the other day and some parent was scheduling their kids next lesson while the kid sat in the FBO lobby.
