Default Flight training advice

So here goes. I'm actually a little embarrassed to post this. I have failed commerical single engine three time. First time bc I didn't notice an alternator failure, second for not hitting a power off 180 and third not putting the gear up after take off. (Also didn't hit the power off 180). I have 815 hours total time (I own a Vans RV-7A), 28 of which is in the piper arrow. I went up with an instructor today and hit 6-7 power off 180's. before my last two check rides I didn't have any issues other than nerves. At this point my instructor won't sign me off (he wants another 5-10hrs in the arrow and the DPE has limited openenings and I'm working two jobs. I'm fearful that I won't be to complete it in the 60 days allowed after the disapproval.

Any advice on what I should do? Any comments, concerns, questions?

I'm thinking I should take some time off, go fly another 500-700 hours and get more confidence. I'm trying not to be discouraged.

At 800 hours, the answer is probably not hundreds of more hours of GA flying (unless you spend it all doing commercial maneuvers).

I would go fly with a different and very experienced instructor immediately to get an independent assessment as to what's going on.

After that you have to do some soul-searching...

What's your ultimate goal? If you just want a commercial for insurance, etc then you can keep pressing on and eventually get it done (although if you keep failing the FAA might want to revisit your private privileges as well).

If it's professional flying, you need to carefully consider your aptitude. It's possible your instructor sucks, and/or the DPE is hardass. But also entirely likely that you're weak in the more advanced commercial realm, and it might be hard or impossible to ever develop an aptitude you didn't have to begin with. Also it could be work ethic, study habits, etc. but only you can figure that out.

If you're interested in airlines, unfortunately you have a problem...three checkride failures is about the absolute upper limit for many regionals and all majors, and it's particularly bad that it was the same ride multiple times. The commercial is considered fairly easy...airlines would have more tolerance for busted CFI rides or even a 121/135 ride since those are more challenging. For airlines you would have to never fail another ride and then even then I suspect your options would be very limited. Those busts will never go away, in the digital age of PRIA and colgan, you never really move beyond your early history.

Wise words from rickair.
I would almost suggest to re-do the entire ride rather then just focus on one maneuver.
Use a different CFI and a different DPE as both maybe 'colored' by this stage.
