Default Private Pilot License Atlanta (PDK, LZU)

Hello all,

I'm looking for a reasonably priced school in Atlanta area with a good reputation. I live at the perimeter so PDK is very close, but I noticed the prices are about 13k estimated. LZU from what I can tell would be about 4k cheaper but its obviously much further.

One of the things that would make me want to learn at PDK is the fact that its controlled airspace and much busier, so I would get experience in that environment. From what i've been told LZU isn't controlled and it's a lot less busy?

Either way, just wanted to get opinions or see if anyone knows someone at a school around here. Thanks for your help!

Skybound Aviation, will be way less than 13k assuming you do it in minimum hours.

Is this where you got yours? I looked into them briefly and saw a few bad reviews which turned me off, but looking at them again they are from about 4+ years ago so things could've changed.

No, I got mine years ago elsewhere, but I rent from them occasionally and have been happy. It's all about the CFI, not the school.
