American Flyers

Anyone have any experience with American Flyers? I'm looking at the Kissimmee, FL location.

I did the IFR accelerated about 7 years ago in Cleveland at BKL and it was a good course. I'd recommend them.

It depends on what you want. If you are a recreational private pilot who needs an instrument rating (and has plenty of money), they can get the job done. If you are career oriented, you probably cannot afford AF, they will charge twice what it's worth.

The best professional schools rely on word-of-mouth, not advertsing. With flight schools, the larger the add, the bigger the rip-off, if that tells you anything.

Ask around this forum, you'll get some good recomendations. If you're interested in SOCAL, I can offer one.
