Getting Started

Hello forum members,

I am 27 years old. I have a bachelors degree in business. I was considering doing ATP but after reading some forum posts I don't know if that should even be on the table. We have a college here locally that has an aviation program with a degree that goes along with it. I cannot get any form of financial aid since I exhausted that getting my business degree. I'm not sure what to do or where to start. I'm already about $40,000 in student loan debt from undergrad. A huge chunk of which will be paid off in the next 12 months. Starting the pilot process is something that is 12-18 months down the road. My girlfriend is finishing up here last 18 months of school and I think it would be best for her to finish first. I'm just trying to get prepared for when that day arrives. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you know 100% for sure you want to be a pilot. go to ATP and get your ratings and hours ASAP to catch the hiring bus before its gone.
