Question Stuck in business school

I am currently a junior in college. I'm honestly only putting myself through school because my parents are making me get a degree. Recently I've decided I want to be an airline pilot. My dad flew bomber pilots in the air force so aviation has always been attracting to me. After I graduate what is my best bet to get my foot in the door to be a pilot? I know I'll have to go through pilot training. Is it too late?

You've got plenty of time. You might want to start putting money aside for introductory flight lessons just to make sure you are not barking up the wrong tree. (It happens.)

maybe consider a semester off from college and go to ATP. Get all your ratings really fast, start online courses to finish your degree and instruct or find another part 91 job to fly.

People might hate on ATP, but they get you done ASAP which is what you want right now to get with an airline quick.

Your not stuck your parents are smart. A business degree is not only a good fallback for the cyclical nature of this industry but it may allow you to do other things in this industry. Finish the degree then fly its far from to late.

Thank your parents (especially if they are paying) because you need the degree to get on with a major. Stop thinking of it as being stuck, and focus on getting good grades, it might matter later. Finish the business degree, start working and saving money for training. Don't feel rushed or behind...you're not.

I have to agree with this, ESPECIALLY if you can finish your degree at the same school online.

Get in to a regional and start building hours ASAP. Then you can work on your degree on the side online and by the time you have it you'll be ready to be hired on by a major

It's surely not to late. You just need to get at it, with a high motivation level.

I was a business/finance major. It's a good, versatile degree to fall back on or if you find yourself in management one day.

You aren't stuck. You are lucky. Both majors and military require a degree.
