Default Air Fleet Training or Fischer Aviation (NJ)

Hello Everyone,

I am curious if anyone on here went with Air Fleet Training in Essex County Airport, NJ. I'm in the process of selecting a flight school. They seem very friendly and so are the CFIs I met, but I'd love to read from people who actually went there. Fischer Aviation I don't know much about but I also hear great things about them as well so I'm split between them.

I originally wanted to go to Infinity Flight Group in Trenton, NJ due to their Cadet Program but they will not return my calls, it's over an hour away from my place and I have a full time job that pays well, a kid, and I believe going to a flight school near my place and job would be most advantageous for me. I could fly after work, weekends and once I reach my ATP mins hopefully I can land a job at a regional nearby. If I'm being crazy let me know as well lol.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I also live in your area and have visited both of those schools. Did you make a decision and start your lessons? If so which school did you go with and how do you like your choice? I am looking to start training here in the near future.

Default Scam-Fraud

Tom Fischer scammed me out of $5,000 and four months of my time. He made up techniques and standards not required by the FAA or any DPE, so as to delay and hinder my progress while he picked my pocket.

This crazy thief required that I hold the yoke with an open hand instead of a solid grip. He instructed me not to look at the runway while in the landing pattern, while every other source requires that you set up you landing pattern by direct reference to the runways. There are many other crazy things he required, when he wasn't sleeping. Seriously, this clown occasionally fell asleep during flights, and took the controls on my dime just to amuse himself. Another sucker, er customer, just took the introductory flight, and Fischer conked out in him, too. Look at the recent Google review from this dissatisfied sucker. He like me, feel that many if not most of the favorable reviews are solicited from acquaintances or made up bd themselves.

At the courtroom where I represented myself in a suit against him, he claimed that he has higher standards than other CFIs. The court mediator asked him if he had hire standards than other CFIs. He said yes. The mediator asked if he gave me something in writing yo tell me that beforehand. He said no. Even if his motive was for higher standards instead of just higher fees, which it wasn't, it is still fraud.

You can see other examples of his fraud on his Facebook site (look for the Rosoff string).

Don't get scammed like I did.

I use to work at Airfleet, very nice place to get you license, very well maintained airplanes. I don’t know all instructors there now, but who I know are very good guys. The chief instructor the best one! I got my CFI/CFII at airfleet it was great experience!
Honestly I don’t know much about fisher.

I trained a bit at air fleet for part of my commercial before moving and finishing off at a different school. Air Fleet was a good school. I had no complaints. As far as Fischer, I have no experience there. Lastly, I got my PPL and IR at Century Air which is also located at KCDW. Very professional and great instructors.
