I attend University of Central Missouri. I went to some local community colleges before transferring.

Sure, the community colleges are cheaper and allow you to get the gen. eds. out of the way, but be sure to work on flying at some small FBO while you are at the community college. If you don't, you will wind up like me, a senior still working on my instrument and commerical ratings.

PPL at Langley AFB Aero club back in the mid '80s

UPT courtesy of the AF at CBM in the late '80s

ATP with Navy at NAS Corpus Christi

CFI with the AF at the zoo

Loved them all!!

Private at Fairfield County (LHQ)
Instrument and Commercial at Ohio University (UNI)
I hope to get my CFI, CFII and Multi at Ohio University, graduate, and get my MEI back at Fairfield County.

Looking back, I have met part 61 requirements for both instrument and commercial, part 141 was essentially useless to me at OU.

I'm currently enrolled at the Carson City campus. the people are great the instructors great. all in all i'm really enjoying life. i went from zero time to solo in 1 week and i am up for my checkride on saturday after about a month from my start time. it is advertised as shorter but we ran into a bunch of weather problems and it delayed things. just be ware about their "dedicated plane" advertisment. at least in my location that is not the case. but so far it hasnt been too big of a problem i'm getting between 2 and 3 flight hours a day weather permitting, instead of the 4 hours a day they tell you. but make sure you know the plane situation before you commit. also their financing is a holy pain in the ass to get through. i went through my bank because i got sick of dealing with it. if you have any other questions feel free to ask
