You use paper logbook or digital?

Hi Guys! I 've just started flying and filling out my logbook after instruction flights... I keep my logbook in the flightschool but I want to have a digital copy in my phone / in the cloud. For safety (if it get lost) and to make statistics and calculating hours easier.
I've checked some apps but Im a beginner so please let me know what you use?? Thx
Carla

Foreflight is great. It cost around $100-$200/yr based on your subscription. The basic version is more than enough.
It also has great tools like all your Wx, wt+bal, checklists, flight planning, etc. all in one place.
There are other apps and software that are free and apparantly do the same as Foreflight but I don't have experience using them.
I highly reccommend using an electronic logbook asap, as well as paper. Re-logging all your flights into another logbook sucks, regardless of its format. Have CFI sign and endorse all your electronic books as early as possible.

I would just create a google sheet. Works perfectly. Auto calculates everything and I can just copy and paste info. Very efficient and clean and free. I needed something for a schedule that does probably 500 flights a year.

Paper.

All my medicals are glued in the back. Momentos and pictures are in them. Some have been ice breakers in interviews.

I use both. I have ForeFlight, which is cheap, if you get the college discount, and I have a paper logbook. The paper one is for tradition, and my endorsements. But the airlines will look at the foreflight one I presume.

I currently use Logten Pro (digital). It's really nice but its only free up until 250 hours so I most likely going to transfer it to Foreflight.

As for digital vs paper. Digital all the way.

Update. Definitely use a digital. It’s not bad to have all your stuff backed on paper also, and you can make it fun like a previous poster mentioned with mementos and notes. However my paper logbook only goes to around 400 hours and the rest is on ForeFlight. I just interviewed with the airlines and it was not a problem at all. The benefits of digital, regardless of program used, is that you obviously have them backed up online and on a computer in case something does actually happen to your paper one. Also, I interchangeably log my flights on my iPhone and iPad, and they automatically sync right away. It’s just much easier. My printed out digital logbooks were much neater and presentable to the interviewing staff than my paper logbook was. Ultimately it doesn’t matter but I honestly think digital make it much easier to track.
