Default Seminar in Fond Du Lac

They came into Fond Du Lac and made it sound like becoming a commercial airline pilot was very easy and attainable.

How realistic is it for an older guy ( 47 ) thinking about getting a PPL here in WI first, then attending this school and making this great salary ( 80k) they claim?

It is easily attainable if you are 18 and have a rich daddy. This followed by getting selected and trained by the military. Beyond that its anything but easy due to the high upfront cost and low pay for a long time.

I live in your neck of the woods. Not working for a regional airline, but I've been in aviation for a while, and can talk shop over some beer if you have any questions.

I’d like that. I can fill you in on this seminar that happened three weeks ago. After talking to others I’m beginning to realize that what was presented was mostly a sales pitch.

Maybe after 4 years. Plan 30-40K year one. Remember you still need to get through training, then flight instruct or haul cargo for two years to get 1500 hours, then apply to regionals.
Very attainable if you want it, I've recently flew with a second career firemen who banged it out in under two years.
