Default KSU Polytechnic, UCM, or Spartan Univeristy

Hello all,

I need advice on which university to use from between Kansas State Polytechnic, Central Missouri, or Sparten University using my GI bill.

What is the best university to choose from between KSU Polytechnic, UCM in Warrensburg, or Sparten University in Tulsa? I will be getting my degree in professional piloting and I know all 3 universities have good pipeline programs to start working for a regional airline company as soon as you graduate:

KSU partners: Mesa, Republic, Piedmont, PSA
UCM Partners: Endeavour, Envoy, ExpressJet, GoJet, Reublic
Spartan partners: Envoy, Endeavor, SkyWest, Delta, Ameriflight, AAR, Shawdor, Republic

In your personal opinion, which university is best for avaition accreditation, future job progression, has the best training available, etc. It has to be one of the 3 however since my wife and daughter will be living a hour east of KC (where both our parents live) and need to be within 4 hours driving distance to spend weekends with them.

KSU. Although I'm biased. My wife and I both graduated from there. Great people, great professors, great program.

I personally attended KSU and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a university program. Some really awesome people there and a great program overall. I've also worked with numerous UCM alum and I feel they also run a good program. I would stay away from Spartan however, at least from what I have personally observed.

I recommend Ohio University because their aviation program is also top notch and that's my alma mater! There was a huge coke bust at the airport recently before I graduated because one of the cartel planes had to declare a mayday and was forced to land at the OU airport

If you're looking for a quicker path, maybe Tarrant County College at Ft. Worth Alliance, Texas.

KSU, it's an overlooked program. It was like NASA in terms of equipment/instructors compared to UCM/Spartan when I was there.

Thank all for your helpful input. I will definitely put all of those schools and opinions into consideration! In terms of partnerships with flight schools and 141 universities, does the partnerships really matter, considering most regional airline companies are actively hiring pilots who meet the minimum requirements in terms of flight hours, multi engine hours, wtc.?

At this point you can go anywhere you want to after you complete your training. The partnership is more of a marketing move by the airlines.

I also recommend KSU. Great equipment and faculty who really care about you as a person.

I would check out ATP in Tulsa . It’s expensive but time is money. Get an online degree with Utah valley state. Hurry up and get your seniority number at a regional or get your corporate job. Regionals are desperate right now but from what I hear there are a lot of people training so you need to hurry up and get ahead of them .
