Best ATP Location
Hi all
Is there a consensus as to where the best ATP training location is for someone, hard working and dedicated, starting with a PPL and intending to go through to CFI(I),MEI.
In terms of quality and speed.
Thanks

Id try to get the LZU location.... by far one of the best out there. I really enjoyed my time there.
CFI class happens there, so there are always smarter people than you there who can help you and they like to practice teach on you also.
Todd Shellnutt is always there and he is a great instructor.
Weather is good most of the time.

I actually heard the same thing, through friends as well as Reddit and other forums. The general opinion is that their management isn't that great and aren't as accommodating to their students (for example, selecting a different CFI if it isn't working with their current one). That's just what I've been hearing, I encourage you to visit their campus and see for yourself. While you're in Long Beach, the Long Beach Flying Club is another flight school that's located there as well.

Incredibly disorganized, cfis who sign you off and write you off with confidence even if you may not feel ready, and they use a DPE (whom I shall not name)consistently more than other DPE’s, who is by far the most unprofessional examiner I have ever dealt with/heard of. This particular DPE has his ‘own form of the acs’, he physically and verbally strikes applicants (thank god, he does not do this to his applicants that are girls), and over schedules which leads to him rushing applicants during their testing.
I really would suggest looking elsewhere. My experience with atp is that there are good locations, and bad locations. I agree with that. However, this is undoubtedly not a good location.
