Looking to start training, need advice
 

I’ve got my ppl but was trying to see if there is an airline or aviation company that would pay for my flight training, besides the military. Any ideas or leads? Maybe a scholarship or something.

Not really. There are options where they may reimburse some of your tuition, such as many of ATP's partners or Republic Airlines LIFT academy, but no free meals at this table.

If there is such a thing, it would in exchange for your soul. Well, quite a few years of it at least. Example: LIFT Academy - what do they give you? The training, a source for a loan to pay for the training (with a PPL it will still cost you $50K!), a job as a CFI to build hours, a job at Republic. In exchange, you are with them for 5 years (after joining Republic). If you leave before the 5 years, you owe them another $20K. Right now it sounds like Republic is not a bad place to be, but that does not sound like a good deal... not at all.

There are flight training academies that will take you on once you have your instrument/commercial/commercial ME, they will give you the CFI/I/MEI in exchange for x hours of you working for them as an instructor. One place I saw has you do 1,400 hours instructing (@100+/mo). Again, if you decide to leave early, you owe them $10/hr for every hour you sre short of 1,400.

Scholarships can help, there are many out there that offer $1K-$5K. But I think you'd want to be careful with training provided for "free" by a regional in exchange for X years contract with them. Some of the regionals sound like they can be brutal to their pilots. Choose wisely grasshopper. ;)
